LACK OF RESPECT!

Why is it that a "CAB DRIVER" is looked down at? This is only and introduction to my BLOG, in the future I will provide the readers, cab stories and their experiences.
Did you know that some Cab Drivers do this specific job as a retirement job......military service...city employee...etc.... Sometimes those benefits don't fill the individuals need for their specific way of life.(the cost$$$$). Believe it or not, some "drivers" have retired from or quit better jobs than the ones who ridicule and look down on us drivers like we are the scum of the earth. Some are.......but some are not. DO NOT stereotype all drivers as the same. Myself as a driver has been in the business over '10' years. I'm not rich or poor. I can financially support three kids by two mothers, my wife and my house hold. I don't require food stamps or goverment assistance. Some 'drivers' use this taxi job as a spring board for something else. (it is a real job, but not respected). The public should appreciate the service we provide and understand the risks and rules we live by. CAB DRIVING is not a walk in the park. If you want to succeed in the business you must commit your way of life in exchange for income. We suffer through alot of desparities. Cab fees and gas prices are part of our costs. I look foward to sharing 'Cab' stories from Cab drivers. "TIPPING IS A GOOD THING".
